Portrait Portfolios

 I can offer portrait photography at my studio in Westport, County Mayo, in your home or at a special location that is personal to you. I aim to capture the essence of my subjects in a relaxed, informal and flattering way, to create photographs that will be cherished forever. This contemporary portrait photography has won recognition in The Irish Professional Photographers Association Photographer of the Year awards.

The price of a portrait photography session starts at €100 which covers the cost of the shoot and a selection of edited images in low resolution to choose your favourites to be printed or ordered in high resolution jpegs. Extra photographic prints are available at an additional cost but you are under no obligation purchase these. The shoot itself usually takes about an hour, though I will continue to shoot as long as I feel necessary to get the photographs that both I and my clients are happy with.

I am also happy to shoot portraits out on location and have photographed numerous special occasions, such as communions, confirmations, baptisms, anniversaries, parties and family reunions. Locations outside the Westport are might be subject to a small extra fee to cover the travel costs.

Baby Portrait

During the first year your baby is changing so much in such a short time. 
I often get asked to capture those precious moments. For Newborns of up to 3 weeks old I spend more time on the shoot to allow time to carefully pose the baby while keeping him/her comfortable, as well as allowing a few breaks to soothe, change or feed the baby.
For slightly older babies I would recommend to book a photo shoot when your child is between 3 and 12 months old. During this time your baby has learned to support themselves, which allows a wider variety in poses. Also the baby's personality reveals itself more and more to create more characteristic images. 

Family Portrait

From the intimate 'parents and kids' to the extended family photo shoot, it's always nice to capture memories for years to come.
I can accommodate small groups of up 6 adults plus young children in the studio. But I am more than happy to arrange an outdoor shoot or at an indoor location of your choice, such as your home, a hotel or other public venues for bigger groups.

Pet Portrait

Let your pet's personality shine! 
I am a big animal lover myself and I believe that pets are part of the family. We even have our own furry receptionist working in the studio most of the days.
Therefor I welcome you to bring along your pets to the photo shoot. They can be part of the family portrait or have their own model experience in front of the camera.
If your pet is more comfortable at home, rather than a strange studio environment, I can also come to your place to photograph your pet(s) at home and/or their usual outdoor environments, such as the beach, a field or the back garden. 

Special Occasions Portrait

Throughout the lifespan we have several special occasions that are worth a professional photo shoot. A few to name are baptisms, first communions, confirmations, graduations, big birthdays or anniversaries.
